Profile Therapeutics

Profile Therapeutics was a UK-based specialty pharmaceutical and medical device company focused on the development and commercialization of inhaled drug delivery systems. The company was best known for its proprietary Adaptive Aerosol Delivery (AAD) technology, which optimizes drug delivery by monitoring a patient's breathing pattern and releasing medication only during inhalation. Its product portfolio included the I-neb and Prodose nebulizer systems, which were used to deliver treatments for respiratory conditions such as cystic fibrosis and pulmonary arterial hypertension. Profile Therapeutics was acquired by Respironics in 2004, which subsequently became part of Philips.
