ProfileHIT was a biotechnology company based in Montpellier, France, that specialized in the systematic profiling of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). Spun off from the Institut de Génomique Fonctionnelle (IGF), the company utilized its proprietary High-throughput Immunoprofiling Technology (HIT) to characterize the pharmacological activity of drug candidates across the entire GPCRome. Their platform, primarily based on Bioluminescence Resonance Energy Transfer (BRET) assays, allowed for the identification of off-target effects and the optimization of lead compounds for pharmaceutical partners. ProfileHIT focused on therapeutic areas such as central nervous system disorders and oncology, providing critical data for drug discovery and personalized medicine.
