Company intelligence / Profile preview
Project Verdant is the flagship Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) development platform and industrial biotechnology initiative of UMeWorld. Located in Malaysia, the project is designed to establish a commercial-scale Renewable Aviation Fuels Hub utilizing proven Hydroprocessed Esters and Fatty Acids (HEFA) technology. The facility features an integrated multi-feedstock model capable of processing established renewable lipids, such as Used Cooking Oil (UCO), alongside scalable alternative feedstocks like Single-Cell Oil (SCO). Project Verdant leverages UMeWorld's proprietary enzymatic technology and bioengineered yeasts to convert waste-lipid and renewable-carbon streams into high-purity, refinery-ready fuel intermediates. Phase 1 of the project targets an initial production capacity of approximately 200,000 metric tonnes of SAF annually, with future expansion potential up to 400,000 metric tonnes.
