Promics

Promics was an Australian biotechnology company focused on the development of novel therapeutic agents targeting the complement system, specifically the C5a receptor. The company's lead candidate, PMX53, was a cyclic peptide designed as a potent C5a receptor antagonist for the treatment of various inflammatory conditions, including psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis. Promics successfully advanced its lead program into Phase 2 clinical trials before being acquired by Peptech (later Arana Therapeutics).
