Pronostics

Pronostics was a molecular diagnostics company focused on the development of protein-based biomarkers for the early detection and monitoring of cancer. The company specialized in identifying specific protein signatures in blood and tissue samples to improve the accuracy of oncology screenings, particularly for colorectal cancer. Founded as a spin-off from the University of Liege, it operated facilities in both Belgium and the United Kingdom. In 2006, Pronostics was acquired by OncoMethylome Sciences (now MDxHealth) to integrate its protein biomarker expertise with OncoMethylome's DNA methylation technology. This acquisition aimed to create a more comprehensive diagnostic portfolio for cancer detection and personalized medicine.
