Company intelligence / Profile preview
ProRhythm developed a steerable HIFU Ablation Balloon Catheter for minimally invasive treatment of atrial fibrillation. The company’s device entered U.S. pivotal clinical trials after successful feasibility studies, with European trials showing that many patients experienced complete elimination of AF symptoms after a single procedure. However, in December 2007 the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and sought restructuring due to financing difficulties. There is no public evidence that it emerged from bankruptcy or continued operations beyond this period.
