ProRoot was a specialized dental biotechnology company primarily known for developing and commercializing Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA), a revolutionary bioactive material used in endodontic procedures. The company's flagship product, ProRoot MTA, became the gold standard for root canal repairs, pulp capping, and apexification due to its superior biocompatibility and ability to promote the regeneration of dental tissues. ProRoot's technology focused on creating a cement-like material that sets in the presence of moisture and provides an effective antibacterial seal while stimulating the formation of new dentin and cementum.
