Proteal was a Spanish regenerative medicine and medical device company that operated as the trade name of Soluciones Bioregenerativas. The company developed and marketed products and systems for tissue regeneration, including devices and biomaterial-based solutions used with autologous cells and tissues in medical and surgical settings. Its commercial focus included platelet-rich plasma and related regenerative applications across orthopedics, dermatology, aesthetic medicine, and surgery. Proteal appears to have sold marketed products rather than advancing a traditional drug-development pipeline. In 2019, Soluciones Bioregenerativas, the company behind the Proteal brand, was acquired by Fidia, which said the transaction would strengthen its position in regenerative medicine, especially joint care and aesthetic medicine.
