ProteoCell Biotechnologies was a Canadian biotechnology company specializing in high-performance mammalian cell line development and bioprocess optimization. Based in Montreal, the company provided contract research and development services to the global biopharmaceutical industry, focusing on the rapid generation of stable, high-titer cell lines for the production of monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins. Their proprietary technology platform utilized advanced expression vectors and high-throughput screening to accelerate the transition from drug discovery to clinical manufacturing. In February 2014, ProteoCell was acquired by KBI Biopharma, a leading contract development and manufacturing organization, to strengthen KBI's upstream development capabilities and establish its first international facility in Canada.
