Protocare Trials was a clinical research organization (CRO) and site management organization (SMO) that provided comprehensive clinical trial services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Founded in 1998, the company built a significant network of clinical research sites, including the acquisition of the Chicago Center for Clinical Research. It specialized in managing and conducting Phase I-IV clinical trials across various therapeutic areas, with particular expertise in cardiovascular health and disease management. In March 2003, Protocare's site management and CRO divisions were acquired by Radiant Research, integrating its operations into one of the largest site networks in the United States.
