Provena Health

Provena Health was a non-profit Catholic health system headquartered in Mokena, Illinois, serving communities across Illinois and Indiana. Established in 1997 through the merger of three regional Catholic healthcare sponsors, the system operated six hospitals, 28 long-term care facilities, and numerous outpatient centers. The organization provided comprehensive medical services, including specialized care in oncology, cardiology, and behavioral health. In November 2011, Provena Health merged with Resurrection Health Care to form Presence Health, creating the largest Catholic health system in Illinois at the time. Presence Health was later acquired by Ascension in 2018, integrating Provena's former facilities into the national Ascension network.
