Company intelligence / Profile preview
PSMA Development Company LLC was a biotechnology joint venture established in 1999 by Progenics Pharmaceuticals and Cytogen Corporation to develop immunotherapies targeting Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA). The company focused on creating a diverse pipeline of PSMA-targeted therapies, including antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), therapeutic vaccines, and radiopharmaceuticals for prostate cancer and other solid tumors. Its lead candidate, PSMA ADC, was developed using Seattle Genetics' auristatin technology and reached Phase 2 clinical trials for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. In 2006, Progenics acquired full ownership of the venture, and the assets were subsequently integrated into Lantheus following its acquisition of Progenics in 2020.
