PsyRING

PsyRING (Psychiatric Research Institute of Neuroscience in Glasgow) was a specialized contract research organization and drug discovery company focused on psychiatric disorders. Founded as a joint venture between the University of Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde, it provided translational research services to the global pharmaceutical industry. The company utilized advanced in vivo and in vitro models to validate therapeutic targets for conditions such as schizophrenia and depression. By integrating academic expertise with commercial drug discovery standards, PsyRING aimed to accelerate the development of novel psychiatric treatments. The entity was a core part of the ITI Life Sciences initiative in Scotland and operated until its dissolution in 2014.
