PT Kimia Farma Sungwun Pharmacopia

PT Kimia Farma Sungwun Pharmacopia is a joint venture between the Indonesian state-owned pharmaceutical firm PT Kimia Farma and the South Korean company Sungwun Pharmacopia. It was established as the first facility in Indonesia dedicated to the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) to reduce national reliance on imported drug components. The company's manufacturing plant, located in Cikarang, operates under strict Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Its product portfolio includes a wide range of APIs such as statins for cardiovascular health, proton pump inhibitors for gastrointestinal disorders, and anti-retroviral agents. By leveraging advanced chemical synthesis technologies, the company provides high-quality raw materials for both the domestic Indonesian market and international pharmaceutical clients. The venture represents a strategic effort to strengthen the pharmaceutical value chain and ensure drug security within the Southeast Asian region.
