Pulmonox Medical was a Canadian biotechnology and medical device company that specialized in the development of inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) delivery systems. The company's core technology focused on a proprietary method for generating high-purity nitric oxide gas at the point of care, eliminating the need for traditional, heavy compressed gas cylinders. Pulmonox's clinical pipeline addressed several critical respiratory and cardiovascular conditions, most notably persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn (PPHN), for which it reached Phase 3 clinical trials.
