Company intelligence / Profile preview
Punch Technix was a Belgian medical technology company that specialized in the development and manufacturing of automated laboratory equipment for the life sciences and diagnostic sectors. The company was best known for its "Puncher" series, which automated the extraction of samples from dried blood spot (DBS) cards, a critical step in neonatal screening and large-scale genetic testing. By providing high-throughput, precision-engineered solutions, Punch Technix enabled laboratories to scale their diagnostic workflows efficiently. In 2006, the company's diagnostic business was acquired by PerkinElmer, a global leader in neonatal screening, and its technology remains a foundational component of modern screening laboratories. Today, these systems are integrated into the portfolio of Revvity, the successor to PerkinElmer's life sciences division.
