PureSphere

PureSphere is a South Korean environmental technology and pharmaceutical materials company founded in 2008. The company specializes in the development and manufacture of environmental catalysts, adsorbents, and high-purity functional carbon materials. Notably, PureSphere developed a proprietary spherical activated carbon technology, PureCarbon®, which is utilized as the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) for Rinamezin (developed jointly with Daewon Pharmaceutical), an oral adsorbent capsule prescribed to delay dialysis in patients with progressive chronic kidney disease. By selectively adsorbing uremic toxins like indoxyl sulfate in the gastrointestinal tract, their technology helps slow the progression of renal failure and improve uremic symptoms.
