Company intelligence / Profile preview
PVS Memorial Hospital was a prominent multi-specialty tertiary care center located in Kochi, Kerala, India. Established in 1992 by the KTC Group in memory of philanthropist P.V. Sami, the 310-bed facility was widely recognized for its excellence in gastroenterology, neonatology, and multi-organ transplantation. It served as a major healthcare destination in South India, featuring nearly 30 specialized departments and advanced diagnostic infrastructure. However, the institution faced severe financial difficulties and labor disputes, leading to a total suspension of operations in May 2019. Despite various acquisition discussions with major healthcare groups, the hospital remained closed and was later utilized by the district administration as a COVID-19 quarantine facility.
