Q-Sera

Q-Sera is an Australian private medtech/biotechnology company developing and commercializing rapid serum blood collection technology for diagnostic and laboratory use. Its core platform, RAPClot, uses recombinant ecarin, a prothrombin activator derived from snake venom biology, to accelerate clotting and generate high-quality serum for biochemical analysis, including samples from patients receiving anticoagulants. The company is commercializing intellectual property originating from The University of Queensland and licensed via UniQuest. Q-Sera's lead product application is RAPClot blood collection tubes, which were launched in Japan through partner Terumo under the VenoJect II RAPClot brand in February 2026.
