Qinghechun Pharmacy

Qinghechun Pharmacy (庆和春药店) is a historical traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) pharmacy founded during the Daoguang era of the Qing Dynasty (circa 1821–1850) in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, China. The pharmacy is highly renowned for formulating and commercializing 'Wangshi Baochi Wan' (王氏保赤丸), a famous pediatric TCM pill created by the prominent physician Wang Luying based on a multi-generational family recipe. In 1957, Wang Mianzhi, the ninth-generation descendant, donated the secret recipe and manufacturing process of Wangshi Baochi Wan to the Chinese government, after which its production was transitioned to the Nantong Pharmaceutical Factory (now Jinghua Pharmaceutical Group). Today, the historical pharmacy has been integrated into the state-owned retail network and operates as a branch under Shanghai Huashi Drugstore.
