Company intelligence / Profile preview
QRxPharma was a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of new treatments for pain management and central nervous system disorders. The company's lead product candidate, MoxDuo, was a patented fixed-dose combination of morphine + oxycodone designed to provide effective analgesia with a reduced side-effect profile compared to individual opioids. Despite reaching late-stage clinical development and submitting multiple New Drug Applications to the FDA, the product faced repeated regulatory setbacks and failed to demonstrate sufficient comparative benefits. Following these failures and the termination of key commercial partnerships, the company entered voluntary administration and was liquidated in 2015. QRxPharma was previously listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and maintained operations in both Australia and the United States.
