Company intelligence / Profile preview
QSAM developed CycloSam® (Samarium‑153 DOTMP), a novel targeted radiopharmaceutical designed to deliver the Samarium‑153 radioisotope directly to sites of primary or metastatic bone cancer. The company completed initial Phase I clinical studies focused on safety and early efficacy in both adult and pediatric patients with osteosarcoma or metastatic disease. The technology builds on prior FDA-approved products but uses an improved chelating agent for better targeting and reduced off-target toxicity. As of May 2024, the company was acquired by Telix Pharmaceuticals to integrate this asset into their oncology portfolio.
