Quadrant Technologies

Quadrant Technologies was a pioneering UK-based biotechnology company specializing in drug stabilization and pulmonary drug delivery technologies. Founded to commercialize research from Cambridge University, the company became globally recognized for its proprietary trehalose-based stabilization platform, which allowed for the preservation of proteins, vaccines, and other biologics without refrigeration. Its portfolio included the FDA-approved product Adept (icodextrin) for the prevention of surgical adhesions and the S2 dry powder inhaler system. Following a series of strategic transactions, the company was acquired by Elan Corporation and later merged with ML Laboratories to form Innovata, which was subsequently acquired by Vectura.
