Qualitest Pharmaceuticals was a leading American manufacturer and distributor of generic pharmaceutical products. Founded in 1983, the company developed a vast portfolio of over 600 generic drugs, including liquid and solid oral dosages across various therapeutic areas such as pain management and cardiovascular health. In 2010, the company was acquired by Endo International (then Endo Health Solutions) for approximately $1.2 billion to strengthen its generic drug division. Following the acquisition, Qualitest operated as a subsidiary of Endo, though it later became central to significant legal challenges regarding opioid manufacturing and distribution.
