Company intelligence / Profile preview
Qualitest Pharmaceuticals was a prominent American manufacturer of generic drugs, specializing in a broad range of therapeutic categories. Established in 1983 and based in Huntsville, Alabama, the company grew to become one of the largest generic pharmaceutical providers in the United States, offering over 600 products. Its portfolio primarily consisted of small molecule generics in areas such as pain management, cardiovascular health, and central nervous system disorders. In 2010, Qualitest was acquired by Endo International for $1.2 billion, serving as the foundation for Endo's generic business segment. The Qualitest brand was eventually retired as Endo integrated its various generic acquisitions under a unified corporate structure.
