Company intelligence / Profile preview
Radionics was a pioneering medical technology company that established the gold standard for stereotactic neurosurgery and radiofrequency (RF) ablation. Founded by the Cosman family, the company developed foundational tools such as the CRW stereotactic frame and the Xknife system for non-invasive radiosurgery. Its RF generators became the industry benchmark for the treatment of chronic pain and functional neurological disorders like Parkinson's disease. Following its acquisition by Tyco Healthcare in 2000, the company's specialized neurosurgical and radiosurgery assets were later divested to Integra LifeSciences, where the Radionics brand continues to support advanced surgical interventions.
