Ramdev Chemical

Ramdev Chemical was an Indian pharmaceutical chemicals company focused on manufacturing and marketing active pharmaceutical ingredients, advanced drug intermediates, fine chemicals, and custom synthesis molecules. The business operated as a supplier to pharmaceutical manufacturers rather than as a clinical-stage drug developer, with capabilities centered on small-molecule chemistry and process manufacturing. In April 2019, Ipca Laboratories acquired 100% of Ramdev Chemical for cash consideration of Rs. 108.5 crore, and Ramdev subsequently operated as a wholly owned subsidiary. The company was later merged into Ipca Laboratories, with the merger approved in 2023 and effective from the appointed date of April 1, 2022. As a result, Ramdev Chemical is best understood today as a former standalone pharma manufacturing company whose operations were absorbed into Ipca Laboratories.
