Rainier Therapeutics was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing vofatamab, a targeted monoclonal antibody for the treatment of metastatic urothelial carcinoma and other FGFR3-driven diseases. Vofatamab, formerly known as B-701, is a potent and selective inhibitor of FGFR3, a driver of bladder cancer in approximately 20% of patients. The company was originally founded as BioClin Therapeutics and underwent a rebranding to Rainier Therapeutics in 2018 to reflect its focus on its lead oncology asset. In 2019, the company was acquired by QED Therapeutics, a subsidiary of BridgeBio Pharma, which integrated vofatamab into its portfolio of FGFR inhibitors.
