Rapid Bio Tests

Rapid Bio Tests was a small U.S. diagnostics company focused on developing rapid diagnostic test platforms that could be used in the field or office without instrumentation or electricity. Company disclosures indicated completed R&D on rapid field tests for Hepatitis B virus and bubonic plague, with additional tests under development for mad cow disease, rabies virus, and West Nile virus. The business model centered on acquiring rights to a portfolio of rapid diagnostic tests and developing and manufacturing an array of simple, fast point-of-care assays. The company later shifted away from this business and changed its name to Bio-Warm, indicating that Rapid Bio Tests no longer operated as an active standalone diagnostics company.
