Rapidigm was a prominent information technology consulting and integration firm that specialized in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and custom application development for the healthcare and life sciences industries. Founded in 1968 and headquartered in Pittsburgh, the company grew into one of the largest privately held IT services firms in the U.S., notably pioneering large-scale telemedicine networks in collaboration with NASA. Rapidigm served major pharmaceutical and healthcare clients, including Bayer and Highmark, providing critical digital infrastructure and data management solutions. The company was acquired by Fujitsu Consulting in 2006 for approximately $265 million, significantly expanding Fujitsu's global healthcare IT and consulting capabilities.
