Raptor Pharma

Raptor Pharma was a U.S.-based rare disease biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing therapies for serious, often life-threatening orphan disorders. Its lead commercial product was Procysbi, a delayed-release cysteamine formulation approved for nephropathic cystinosis, and it later added Quinsair, an inhaled levofloxacin product for chronic Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in cystic fibrosis patients in certain ex-U.S. markets. The company also advanced RP103 into additional indications including Huntington's disease, mitochondrial disorders including Leigh syndrome, and pediatric NASH, and had an aldehyde dehydrogenase deficiency program known as Convivia. Raptor was publicly traded on Nasdaq under the symbol RPTP before being acquired by Horizon Pharma in October 2016. Following the acquisition, Raptor ceased operating as an independent public company.
