Rare Disease Research (RDR) is an independent clinical research site network 100% dedicated to conducting clinical trials for rare and orphan diseases. Founded in 2017 by pediatric neurologist Dr. Han Phan, the company operates specialized facilities in Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, and New Jersey. RDR focuses on accelerating the development of safe and effective treatments for conditions such as Duchenne muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, and various genetic disorders. The organization provides patients with access to innovative investigational therapies while offering sponsors high-quality data and specialized expertise in rare disease populations. In 2023, RDR expanded its footprint by opening a new site in Hillsborough, North Carolina, with support from Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD).
