Company intelligence / Profile preview
ReceptIcon was a Danish biotechnology company specializing in the discovery of novel therapeutics targeting G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). Founded in 2004 as a spin-out from the University of Copenhagen, the company focused on identifying small molecule ligands for orphan GPCRs with high therapeutic potential. Their research programs primarily addressed unmet needs in metabolic diseases and central nervous system disorders. The company utilized a proprietary screening platform to characterize receptor-ligand interactions and accelerate the drug discovery process. Despite its innovative approach to GPCR drug discovery and its roots in a world-class academic environment, the company was voluntarily liquidated in 2010.
