Company intelligence / Profile preview
The Regenerative Research Foundation (RRF), often referred to as the Regenerative Research Group, is a non-profit biotechnology research organization and the parent entity of the Neural Stem Cell Institute (NSCI). Based in Rensselaer, New York, the foundation was established by Dr. Sally Temple and Dr. Jeffrey Stern to accelerate the transition of stem cell research from the laboratory to clinical application. The organization is a pioneer in the field of neural stem cell biology, focusing on therapies for central nervous system disorders and retinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Its lead program, a retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) stem cell-derived therapy, is currently in clinical trials through its commercial spin-out, Luxa Biotech. RRF maintains state-of-the-art research and manufacturing facilities, positioning itself as a unique bridge between academic discovery and commercial drug development.
