Registrat was a specialized Contract Research Organization (CRO) focused on late-phase clinical research, including Phase IV studies, observational programs, and patient registries. The company provided comprehensive services to pharmaceutical and biotech firms to evaluate the real-world safety, effectiveness, and value of medical products post-approval. In 2011, Registrat was acquired by Mapi Group, forming Registrat-Mapi, which became a global leader in late-phase research and health outcomes. The organization was subsequently integrated into ICON plc following ICON's acquisition of Mapi Group in 2017. This integration allowed ICON to significantly bolster its real-world evidence and post-marketing study capabilities.
