Rehabilicare

Rehabilicare was a medical device company that specialized in the development and commercialization of non-invasive electrotherapy products for pain management and physical rehabilitation. The company's core product lines included transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) devices, which were primarily marketed to orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists. Originally founded as Staodyn, the company rebranded to Rehabilicare in 1998 to reflect its broader focus on the rehabilitation market. In 2003, Rehabilicare merged with Compex Technologies in a deal valued at approximately $100 million, and its technologies were eventually integrated into DJO Global following subsequent acquisitions.
