ReliaGene Technologies was a biotechnology company specializing in forensic DNA analysis and genetic testing services. Founded in 1990 and headquartered in New Orleans, the company was a pioneer in the development and application of Y-chromosome (Y-STR) testing for human identification. ReliaGene provided critical molecular diagnostic services to law enforcement agencies, the legal community, and private individuals for criminal investigations and paternity disputes. The company operated a highly accredited laboratory and developed proprietary genetic testing kits. In 2007, ReliaGene was acquired by Orchid Cellmark, integrating its specialized forensic expertise into one of the world's largest DNA testing networks.
