Renstar Medical Research is a standalone, community-based clinical research site and site management organization (SMO) headquartered in Ocala, Florida. Founded in 1998, the company specializes in executing Phase I–IV clinical trials across a wide range of complex therapeutic areas, including central nervous system (CNS) disorders, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, dermatology, and respiratory conditions. Renstar operates a multidisciplinary model, partnering with local physicians and community hospitals to provide high-quality, patient-centric clinical trial services. In late 2024, Renstar was acquired by PhaseWell Research, a clinical research site platform backed by Shore Capital Partners, where it continues to serve as a premier anchor site for clinical development.
