Company intelligence / Profile preview
Rentschler ATMP was the UK-based advanced therapy medicinal products business established by Rentschler Biopharma to provide contract development and manufacturing services for cell and gene therapy developers. The business was launched in Stevenage, UK, as a center of excellence focused on viral vector process development, analytical development, and cGMP manufacturing for advanced therapies. Its capabilities included adeno-associated virus and lentiviral vector services intended to support client programs from preclinical development through clinical supply. However, Rentschler Biopharma announced in January 2025 that it would withdraw from the cell and gene therapy field and cease operations at the Stevenage site. As a result, Rentschler ATMP appears to be a discontinued operating business rather than an active standalone growth company.
