Reprixys Pharmaceutical Corporation developed SelG1, a monoclonal antibody targeting P-selectin, for the prevention and reduction of vaso-occlusive pain crises in patients with sickle cell disease. A multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled Phase II study demonstrated safety and efficacy endpoints for SelG1 with or without hydroxyurea therapy.
