Reprogenix’s lead candidate, RGB5088, is a chemically-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived islet product that has demonstrated the first-ever achievement of insulin independence in type 1 diabetes patients following transplantation. In a published pilot clinical study, patients achieved insulin independence within 75 days post-transplantation with excellent glycemic control and no signs of malignancy. The product has received IND approval in China, Phase 1 trials are ongoing, and pivotal Phase 2/3 trials are planned to begin in 2026 with BLA filing targeted for late 2027
