Research Data Scotland

Research Data Scotland is a not-for-profit charitable organization established by the Scottish Government that unlocks the power of public sector health, social care, and administrative data for research and evidence-based decision making. It operates Scotland’s National Safe Haven, a secure data infrastructure that enables accredited researchers to access, link, and analyze sensitive data for public benefit, underpinned by strong privacy and governance standards. RDS does not conduct its own clinical trials or develop drugs/devices, but supports other organizations (universities, NHS, Pharma/Biotech companies) by providing trusted, efficient, and secure data services.
