Research Institute of Physical and Chemical Preparations

The Research Institute of Physical and Chemical Preparations (RI PCP), part of the Belarusian State University, is a specialized scientific and production entity focused on the development of novel pharmaceutical formulations and drug delivery systems. The institute is best known for its pioneering work in hydrogel-based local chemotherapy, which allows for the sustained release of anti-cancer agents directly at the surgical site. Its flagship product, Temodex, is a temozolomide-loaded hydrogel used in the treatment of glioblastoma and has received regulatory approval in several CIS countries. Beyond oncology, the institute develops a variety of pharmaceutical substances, including cardiovascular and antiviral medications, and maintains its own manufacturing facilities for small-batch production.
