Overview
ReShape Lifesciences has commercialized minimally invasive weight-loss devices such as the FDA-approved Lap-Band®, the non-surgical Obalon® Gastric Balloon system, and offers a virtual health coaching program. The company also developed an investigational vagal neuromodulation technology for type 2 diabetes that has completed preclinical development with strong IP protection through at least the late 2030s. In Q2/Q3 of calendar year 2025, ReShape entered into a definitive merger agreement with Vyome Therapeutics and agreed to sell substantially all its assets—including its core products—to Biorad Medisys. After these transactions close, the combined entity will be renamed Vyome Holdings.
