Resolyx Pharmaceuticals was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of novel anti-inflammatory therapies for ophthalmic conditions. The company's lead candidate, RX-10045, is a synthetic analog of Resolvin E1, a naturally occurring lipid mediator that actively promotes the resolution of inflammation rather than simply suppressing it. Resolyx was formed as a spin-out to advance the resolvin program originally initiated by Resolvyx Pharmaceuticals. In 2014, the company was acquired by Aerie Pharmaceuticals to bolster its pipeline of treatments for dry eye disease and other ocular surface disorders.
