Company intelligence / Profile preview
RevitaLid Pharmaceutical was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing and commercializing ophthalmic products. The company's primary focus was the development of RVL-101 (oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution, 0.1%), a first-in-class pharmacological treatment for acquired blepharoptosis, commonly known as droopy eyelid. In 2017, RevitaLid was acquired by Osmotica Pharmaceuticals, which successfully moved the candidate through Phase 3 trials. The drug was subsequently approved by the FDA in 2020 under the brand name Upneeq, becoming the first and only non-surgical treatment for ptosis.
