Company intelligence / Profile preview
Revixia Life Sciences was launched by atai Life Sciences in 2021 as a wholly owned subsidiary focused on developing salvinorin A-derived therapeutics for mental health disorders and pain. The company's original lead concept centered on Salvinorin A, a naturally derived kappa opioid receptor agonist from Salvia divinorum, with an initial program referred to as RLS-01. Revixia appeared to remain at a preclinical stage and, according to atai disclosures, was later deprioritized as part of a 2022 portfolio streamlining, with funding discontinued beyond existing obligations while partnering options were explored. Based on available public information, Revixia does not appear to have advanced an active independent clinical pipeline after that reprioritization. It is best understood as an atai-created development vehicle rather than a standalone commercial operating biotech with an active late-stage pipeline.
