Rexam

Rexam was a UK-based multinational packaging company best known for beverage cans and a broader portfolio spanning consumer and healthcare packaging. Historically, the company operated healthcare-related businesses including pharmaceutical packaging and drug-delivery device operations, but it was not a biotech, pharma, or therapeutics developer. Rexam was acquired by Ball in June 2016 and ceased to operate as an independent public company. Some former healthcare activities were also separated earlier, including the healthcare devices business that was renamed Nemera after its 2014 sale. For biotech analyst purposes, Rexam is best understood as a packaging and device-related industrial company with historical exposure to healthcare packaging rather than a life sciences innovator.
