Rhodia Pharma Solutions

Rhodia Pharma Solutions was a prominent contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that provided process development and custom manufacturing services for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates. The company was established as a business unit of the French chemical giant Rhodia, following its acquisition of the US-based chiral technology specialist ChiRex in 2000. Rhodia Pharma Solutions focused on complex small molecule chemistry, offering services from early-stage development through to large-scale commercial production. In 2006, the division was acquired by the Indian pharmaceutical company Shasun Chemicals and Drugs, which sought to enhance its global manufacturing footprint and technical capabilities. The business is now integrated into the operations of Strides Pharma Science following subsequent mergers.
