Rinat Neurosciences is a biotechnology company originally spun off from Genentech in 2001, specializing in the discovery and development of protein-based therapeutics for the treatment of central nervous system disorders and pain. The company is best known for its pioneering work on monoclonal antibodies targeting Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) for chronic pain and Amyloid-beta for Alzheimer's disease. In 2006, Rinat was acquired by Pfizer for approximately $500 million, where it continues to operate as a dedicated research unit focused on neuroscience and pain.
